Crim is a fourth-year doctoral candidate at Florida State University College of Social Work. Her work centers on examining health disparities, with a focus on minority stress and HIV-related trauma among racially diverse LGBTQ+ populations, particularly MSM. She has previously contributed to NIH-funded studies investigating the impact of social determinants on the health and well-being outcomes of PLHIV. Her research also includes orientation-specific intimate partner violence stressors affecting sexual and gender identity minorities.

Crim collaborates on projects that explore health inequities, including the psychological factors linked to cardiovascular disease and trauma recovery. As a research assistant, she has co-authored articles and contributed to studies on the intersections of trauma, social support, and media use in health outcomes. Beyond her research, she has served as a mentor in Florida State University’s Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, where she has guided students in research, professional growth, and academic development. Her teaching experience includes her role as a teaching assistant and independent instructor for diversity and social justice courses.
