Mattia Prosperi

Dr. Prosperi holds a MEng in computer Science Engineering, and a PhD in Computer Science and Automation from Roma Tre University, Italy, He previously worked in the Center for Health Informatics at University of Manchester, UK before moving to University of Florida, where he is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, hired under the Preeminence initiative. Dr. Prosperi leads the Data Intelligence Systems Lab, and his research is focused on biomedical modelling and data science. He leads projects studying HIV transmission, HIV treatment resistance, and HIV health/life outcomes, and other projects on antimicrobial resistance as well as disease prediction modelling.
