Dr. Marcos Signorelli, coordinates the Public Health Postgraduate Program and is an Associate Professor of Public Health, at the Department of Public Health, Federal University of ParanĂ¡ (UFPR), in Curitiba, Brazil. He is also and founding-member of LGBTI+ Health Group at the Brazilian Association of Public Health (ABRASCO). His research portfolio includes the intersections between gender-based violence and health, particularly violence against women and violence against LGBTI+ people, with focus on primary health care and cross-sectoral interventions in low-and-middle-income settings. His academic training and research experience in Brazil and Australia have provided him with a comprehensive background in multiple public health disciplines including epidemiology, public policies, human rights, and social sciences & health. Dr Signorelli is currently coordinating the "Eu Decido Study" (www.eu decido.app) in collaboration with FSU, aiming to assess an online safety decision aid to support women experiencing intimate partner violence. He has expertise coordinating intervention studies on gender-based violence prevention and health, including mixed-methods research design and implementation; conducting field research and analysis; and supervising teams of students and researchers.
