Brittany Taylor PhD, RN

Dr. Brittany N. Taylor is an Assistant Professor at Florida State University College of Nursing and a Fulbright-FAPESP Scholar at the University of São Paulo in Brazil. Her research examines the intersection of genomics, machine learning, and social determinants of health to advance precision health equity. Her work focuses on understanding how biological, social, and environmental factors interact to shape health outcomes and contribute to disparities, with research spanning genomics, data science, mental health, and sickle cell disease. As a Fulbright-FAPESP Scholar, she is investigating genomic and sociodemographic contributors to sickle cell disease outcomes in Brazil, with a focus on pain and vaso-occlusive crises. Dr. Taylor is passionate about developing innovative, data-driven approaches to improve health outcomes among historically underserved populations.
