Dr. Britton is the Lead PI of the Center for Neuroscience and the Panama Aging Research Initiative – Health Disparities (PARI-HD) program of INDICASAT-AIP, has a courtesy research appointment with the Florida State College of Nursing and is an affiliate of the Center of Population Sciences for Health Equity at Florida State University. She has extensive experience building and managing clinic- and community-based cohorts targeting underserved populations for the study of factors related to cognitive aging. For the past twelve years, Dr. Britton and her collaborators have carried out the first Panamanian study focused on identifying biomarkers for improving early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) in cohorts of older adults.
