Joseph Frascella
Dr. Frascella is currently the Chief Clinical Research Officer jointly for FSU and TMH. Prior to this position, he was the Vice President of Research at the Legacy Research Institute where he directed the biomedical and translational research programs within Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon. He spent most of his career at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in various positions of leadership and research administration overseeing large basic and clinical research programs at the National Institute on Drug Abuse. He also held the position of Senior Research Scientist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County working in the Office of the Vice President for Research to build collaborations for students and faculty. Before joining the NIH, Dr. Frascella directed a neurophysiology laboratory at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, and prior to this position, he held the faculty appointment of Assistant Professor at Brown University.
