The second focuses on the care of populations facing significant health challenges, with an emphasis on people living with HIV/AIDS. Additionally, Jim is actively engaged in evaluation research in healthcare settings, aiming to establish the efficacy of nursing care-related practices. His work has led to advances in the measurement and cultivation of expert performance in nurses, the classification of novice clinical behaviors and cognitions, and the development of novel approaches to patient care, particularly in the care of people living with HIV/AIDS.
