Dr. Carli Culjat is an Associate Professor at Florida State University College of Nursing in the Center of Population Science for Health Empowerment. She also maintains an active practice as an Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Culjat earned her PhD in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Her research focuses on health literacy and health policy, emphasizing improving community-based health communication strategies to enhance outcomes for a wide range of populations who face the most barriers to care. She specializes in developing innovative health communication interventions and implementing system-based, sustainable solutions to address common obstacles.
