Beren Crim Sabuncu, MSW, is a doctoral student at Florida State University. She received her master’s degree in clinical social work from New York University. Her research interests include trauma studies, health disparities, intimate partner violence and domestic violence, and queer issues. She has previous experience working with populations in crisis, including victims of sexual assault and violence, at Safe Horizon, Crisis Text Line, Tanzania Development Trust, and Dignified Children International. She works as a research assistant both at the College of Social Work and the Center for Population Sciences and Health Equity, at Florida State University. She is currently serving as the President of the Doctoral Student Organization in her program.
