As the Program Manager of Media and Communications for the Florida FIRST faculty development program and the Center of Population Sciences for Health Empowerment, Emily is pivotal in driving strategic communication efforts and administrative functions. She oversees the development and management of internal and external communications, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement with external affiliates and leadership. She leads the design and execution of marketing and communication activities, including creating social media content, managing the website, and crafting newsletters and press releases. In addition, she contributes to the recruitment and engagement efforts by creating impactful publications and coordinating key events. Her responsibilities also encompass managing and implementing program goals and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. With a strong focus on facilitating organizational communication, Emily ensures that the faculty, researchers, and staff are well-informed about key developments and achievements.
She also has expertise in writing, photography, and social media management. With a background in documentarian internships and assistant photography/videography roles in New York City, Emily brings a unique blend of creativity and technical skills to every project. Her ability to curate compelling content and leverage various media platforms has consistently driven engagement and results. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in Media Communications Studies and is currently working on her master's degree in Public Interest Media Communications.
